  • Notes: First performance of Mahler – Symphony No. 6 in Munich. As was the case in Essen 1906 Concert Essen 27-05-1906 – Symphony No. 6 (Premiere), the order of the middle movements was again Andante, Scherzo. A seperate piece of paper, enclosed in the program booklet, informs the audience that Mahler could not conduct the Liszt concerto because he had been summoned to Vienna. He was replaced by Bernhard Stavenhagen, who had not only prepared the concert but on 14-11-1906 also led a repeat performance of Mahler – Symphony No. 6 in Munich. Mahler, back in Vienna on 09-11-1906, conducted an opera that evening and departed together with his wife for Brno the following morning
