During a holiday trip to the Fichtel Mountains and City of Wunsiedel, birth-place of Jean Paul (1763-1825), in July 1883, Gustav Mahler stayed at the parents’ house of his friends Heinrich Krzyzanowski (1855-1933) and Rudolf Krzyzanowski (1859-1911). Provaznicka Street No. 460 in Cheb (Eger, Czech Republic).
